Storyteller Driven Antagonists. Not everyone who has survived the zombie apocalypse wants to play nice. The world was full of bad people, evil people and then the zombie apocalypse changed some people and stripped them of their morality. Just as the zombies are dangerous so are far too many people. They live too use you up and take advantage of you. They exist for themselves and no-one else. Step carefully and keep a sharp eye out less one of them end your life. A skull watermark indicates that the survivor met their last, that they did not make it, killed or turned.
Cannibal Clan
Mama Mary Gorstall - The patriarch of what was left of the Gorstall clan. They entire clan never was worth much before the apocalypse, in and out of trouble and jail. One was put away for life for the brutal stabbing murder of another man in a bar fight. Mama Mary always did have a screw slightly loose, a crazy gleam in her eye and a taste for flesh... Human flesh.
Brother Jeb Gorstall - The slightly younger brother of Mama Mary with a similarly crazed brain in that head of his. Rumor throughout the small community they lived in was they were all the result of incestuous inbreeding but most just fancied that just a rumor. What you did know was that you never stepped food onto their property and near that rickety old farmhouse unless you wanted buckshot tearing holes in your chest.
Jennifer Gorstall - Mary's daughter , addicted to methamphetamine, alcohol and cigarettes. Halfway crazy and once the zombie apocalypse hit all the way crazy. Rather then starve she followed in her mother's footsteps and embraced cannibalism as a food source.
Davie Pratter - A close cousin of the family, related by blood and loyal to a fault.
George Gorstall - Another member of the cannibal family that called that rickety old farmhouse in the woods home.
Silas Gorstall - The final member of the Gorstall family still alive, having managed to survive the apocalypse, hidden away in that farmhouse only to emerge when they need to go out hunting for food in the road just down from the house.
The Compound
Antonio Romano - He was rather high up in a Black Water style company that oversaw private security for wealthy clients and government agencies for large sums of money in dangerous parts of the world. Truth be told his company had been scrutinized and investigated more then once for actions that by some were deemed illegal and once for an action that some called straight up murder. He wasn't a very nice man then and isn't a nice man at all now. He has his rules and he has his people. Anyone who deviates from those rules or his plan is killed but usually with torture first as a means of showing why you do not disobey the rule of law, his rule of law. He has attracted to him a large collection of people who do not feel like they have to behave how society wanted them too anymore. As long as they can follow Antonio's rules he provides for them and together they do as they please, take what they want and kill anyone that gets in their way. Antonio is not a man to be messed with, a skilled mercenary in life before the apocalypse and a ruthless leader now.
James Randall - James was a small time defense lawyer that represented small time criminals before this all happened and likened himself a decent enough sort but that was before all of this and the Zombie apocalypse has a way of changing some people. Any decency he might have had was stripped from him and James has become rather comfortable with the man he is now. To prove his loyalty to Antonio he beat a begging man to death with a pipe wrench to the face because the man looked at him wrong, each and every swing further sealing his fate and blackening his soul until the man's face was little more then a bloody and unrecognizable pulp. He is now a sergeant underneath Antonio, helping to make sure those who choose to follow Antonio do as told and behave as they should within the confines of the few simple rules Antonio expects his people to follow.
Jeremy Brenner - Jeremy has been in and out of jail a few times and loved getting into a fight. He was in prison for beating a black man nearly to death with his fists once and had a restraining order placed on him by his ex-wife for one too many bruises. He exists as a sergeant below Antonio, here to help Antonio's little compound grow.
Jackson Schmidt - He spent time in jail for one crime or another and spent far too much of his time with women and alcohol. In this life he plans to do as he pleases, living a life of very little consequences.
Michael Bishop - A thick and muscled man who spent a short stint in prison for raping a woman. He was an amateur professional wrestler in his life before all of this worked professionally as a bounty hunter.
Andrea Fischer - Before all of this Andrea was a nine to five pencil pusher just like everyone else who answered phones for a living. Hello ma'am, how may I help you? What is your problem today? Customer service. She wanted to blow her brains out all over her damn computer screen. She couldn't take one more second of her job. She hated it and she hated her boss. The first thing she did when the Zombie apocalypse hit was put a bullet right square between her husband's eyes and left him for dead. Now she makes her own rules and does what she wants. For Andrea there is no turning back. Her soul has become rather addicted to the life she lives now at the Compound. Anyone gives her too much trouble and she has Antonio's express permission to put a bullet in them too, just like her husband, and that makes her smile where little else does these days.
Ericka Booth - Ericka was a bounty hunter before this, hunting people down for a living. She enjoyed it, enjoyed that life. She enjoys life more now that the shit hit the fan. No more rules to hole her down. No more laws to follow. She shacked up with a group of like minded people and does what she wants when she wants. She shed her morality like an annoying and itchy blanket that she couldn't wait to get rid of.
Martina Trujillo - Martina was a badass chain smoker with an attitude. Truth be told though before all of this she worked for one drug cartel or another running their drugs in the United States. She belonged to one gang or another and was up to no good. The zombie apocalypse only made it worse. She enjoys doing whatever the hell she pleases, taking advantage of those easily taken advantage of. She'd shoot you between the eyes with a smile on her face and not lose any sleep at night.
Jodi Greene - Jodi was a law officer before all of this but she didn't do it in order to protect and serve. With her the mantra, to borrow from the game GTA, obey and survive was more fitting. She didn't become a cop to be a good person. She became a cop to abuse the power it gave her. How she managed to get past the psych exam and the lie-detector test we don't know. The shit hitting the fan has given her the opportunity to take full advantage of the full range of her brutality.
Mark Barrett - A former Army sergeant turned mercenary for the Black Sword company before shit went south. He and Antonio spent some time serving together as mercenaries. Neither were very good men before the shit hit the fan and they are especially shitty men now. Mark lives to take advantage of this world and get what he wants out of it. He enjoyed killing before this all started and that hasn't changed any.
Brock Harvey - The Punisher. Brock was a former wrestler who took on the role of a much hated heel in the sport. His downfall in professional wrestling was his addiction to drugs. And then the shit hit the fan. The problem was that addiction never really went away. He was a pretty shitty person before the shit hit the fan who loved his alcohol, in trouble for domestic violence once. His personal life made his career as a professional wrestler rather rocky and he wound up slumming it with a more B-rated wrestling outfit.
Beau Foresman - Beau served time in prison for beating a man to death with a wrench. It was a sudden but brutal and unprovoked murder for which the man still has yet to feel any real sympathy. He did his time in prison and was let free when the Zombie Apocalypse happened. When shit hit the fan it was every man for himself and Beau both escaped the prison and narrowly escaped being turned.

The Armory
Ethan Wade - Ethan was a bastard, a hot headed and annoying one. He spent some time in prison for beating a girlfriend, had a restraining order out against him and was likely headed to prison a second time for smashing a man's head into a bar top until he fell unconscious. That was right up until the zombie apocalypse saved him. Things fell to shit and so did the court system. He survived the undead through a measure of luck and skill, former military before being discharged for one too many minor infractions that didn't sit well with the United States Army. To put it bluntly, he wasn't what they were looking for. He was too hot headed and too want for brutality. He fit right in with Antonio's band of savages, shacking up with them shortly after everything fell apart. He is second in command under Dante of the Armory.
Freddy - Frederica, or Freddy as she is want to be called most of the time, spent a little time in prison. She spent a little time dealing drugs and doing drugs. Spent a little more time giving no fucks about life. She didn't bother to try and reinvent herself when the shit hit the fan. Instead she leaned into who she was and found a place with Antonio's merry band of miscreants. It allowed her too be herself. It allowed her to indulge in her baser nature and survive at the expense of others.
Dominic Romero - Dominic was a scary mother fucker with bulging muscles covered in tattoos. He ran drugs for the cartels here in the United States after a stint in the military and worked as a mercenary for hire. He was not a nice guy and had a rage problem. He once beat a man's skull in just for the pleasure, because it made him feel good. He was a pretty brutal and ruthless individual who followed after Antonio lockstep, savoring the opportunity and excuse to do as he pleases in this new world.
Brady Fleming - Brady wasn't much before all of this. A high school drop out who spent life burning out. He moved from odd job to odd job with a few small stints in prison for stupid things. He struggled with fitting in and life after the apocalypse wasn't much different until he was scooped up by Antonio and found a place there. Antonio liked loyalty over anything else and Brady could at least offer that. He did what he was told when he was told in trade for a place in this world and protection. What few redeeming qualities he had before the shit hit the fan he lost or threw away after shacking up with the Compound.
Chase Lampkin - Chase was a twitchy mother fucker, a hopeless drug addict who managed to survive the zombie apocalypse as long as he did through sheer luck and little else. He shacked up with Antonio's group when he found them, indulging in his baser nature.
The Factory
Dante Esposito - Dante was a cop once but he was not a good cop. He was on the take and had plenty of skeletons in his closet. The end of the world broke him even further. He lost everything he cared about, everything that made him cling to what humanity he had, in the very beginning. He left that all behind, left who he was behind. He found that in this world he could hold power, he could rule over others, he could take what he wanted. And for that he took the easy way out. In this world it was a lot harder to hold onto your humanity, to try and salvage that part of you. Instead he threw that all away and chose to be the badguy in your story and he made a very good one. He followed just underneath Antonio, placed in charge of the Factory building they used as a third satellite base.
Abby Garrett - Abby, before all of this, was a cop. Looking at her for long enough you can see it because that cop is still there, somewhere deep down inside. She was a corrupt cop and did things she wasn't proud of, looking the other way when she should have been paying attention. After the shit hit the fan and the world fell apart she escaped by the skin of her teeth, shacking up with one group or another who eventually all died before she found herself joining up with Antonio. From there it was more of what she seemed to be pretty good at, looking the other way. Antonio's group did things, took by force. It was always his way or the dead way. And she looked the other way. She went along, fit in, did what she had to do and it kept her safe.
Darek Thomas - This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My rifle, without me, is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. Darek joined the military after he turned 18. He really enjoyed it. The problem was he enjoyed it too much. He was that stereotypical soldier that really needed another psychiatric evaluation. That soldier that enjoyed the killing a little too much. He had a few tattoos that revolved around death with one that said "I am become death. The destroyer of worlds". Even some of those in his squad and around him thought he was a little much. But he did what he was told and never really made waves enough for anyone to really care, a good soldier who followed orders well.
Katarina Wulf - Katarina was a former CIA in charge of running torture programs in various parts of the world in the name of combating terrorism before the idea of torture... Sorry, Advanced Interrogation Techniques... became a hot button topic and it was, at least officially, all but shut down. She wasn't necessarily a bad person, but the zombie apocalypse changes a person. They do what they have to do in order to survive. One could argue she wasn't that good of a person either. Maybe she enjoyed the torture program a little too much. She was re-assigned when the torture programs the CIA ran were shut down, working a desk job before the shit finally hit the fan. She barely survived the initial onslaught, escaping with what was left of her life.
Mitchell Trent - Mitchell was an outlaw country music singer that never really made it that big, performing mostly at bars and clubs. He found himself in trouble with both alcohol and the law a few times, spend a few nights in jail here and there. He never could manage to stay out of some sort of trouble, trying to cultivate that outlaw image some say. But whatever the case may have been that all changed when the shit hit the fan.
Sergio Semenov - Sergio was a transplant from mother Russia, an MMA boxer that was good at what he did. He enjoyed pummeling people in the ring, getting out his aggression. He was a heel, taunting his opponents in a manner that some said went too far. And once in the ring he sent them reeling. He moved up the ranks quickly, on top of his game in the sport.
Nikolay Seravensky - Nikolay was a mercenary and a killer, a man born in the US of Ukrainian parents who immigrated here when the USSR was still a thing to escape the choke hold of Communism. The man joined the military and wound up a mercenary for hire working for one group or another. Truth be told he loved the killing and he was good at it. Give the man a gun and he became very dangerous but one would be foolish to discount how dangerous he was with just his hands.
Willard Clemons - Willard spent a lot of time in prison for beating a man with a pipe wrench. When he got out he spent a lot of time trying to put his life back together. And just when he thought he finally had it all figured out the shit hit the fan and it all fell back apart again.
Natasha Shaw - Natasha was a member of the NRA and worked somewhere around the middle rung of the group. She loved guns. She didn't start out a horrible person but the zombie apocalypse changed some people for the worse. It allowed, or forced, them to give in to their baser natures in order to survive and well... Some people found they enjoyed it. The apocalypse broke them and Natasha was no exception. She fell in with Antonio's group in much the same way everyone else did for much the same reason... Too survive. He would offer you survival as long as you offered him your loyalty and Natasha was good at being loyal.
Christine Fitzpatrick - Christina was a two-bit politician who never actually made it out of the job she had in the courthouse. She ran for congress as a Republican and failed twice, failing worse the second time. She didn't have very many agreeable qualities, a mediocre person who stole money from the tax payers and got caught. She was about too lose her job for it when the shit hit the fan. Her husband, a gun nut who caught cancer from smoking one cigarette too many, fell when the world fell apart. The cancer didn't get too take him out before the zombie apocalypse could. The cancer made him weak and the world going too shit finished him off. It further broke Christine, the woman surviving on luck and giving in to her baser nature when she had too. She shacked up with Antonio and has been loyal ever since, trading her loyalty for his protection. She and the baser nature she gave into found a place among his group of bastards and savages.
Rhonda Harvey - Rhonda was a bounty hunter before everything went to shit that worked for a few different bail bonds companies, bouncing back and forth between them. She enjoyed the lawlessness of her job and skirted trouble a few times for being a little too rough with the fugitives she went after. She looked down at them, hell, she looked down at most people. She enjoyed excessive force. For her it was a perk of the job.
Dwayne Washington - Dwayne was a self-defense instructor and kick boxing coach before everything went to shit. He had a family and kids that didn't make it once the world fell apart. He ran into Antonio and fell in line after Antonio promised him safety and security. It forced him to do things he might not otherwise have done but hey... At least he was still alive.
Hammersturm
Marcus Ziegler - Marcus was a man going on 73, the son of a former ranking party figure within the Nazi party that helped oversee some semblance of the attempted eradication of the Jewish people during WWII. He was born in Venezuela where his father fled too in order to escape judgement and prosecution for his crimes against humanity as a member of the Nazi party. He moved to the United States and eventually relocated to Washington State to live out his future and run his radio show. Marcus has always been a big proponent of a second final solution and conspiracy theories surrounding the idea of a Zionist occupied government. He had his own radio show, internet blog and forum under the Hammer and Shield moniker where he espoused his views ranging from the abomination of homosexuality and the supposed dangers of Zionism to the abhorrence of the “mud people”, as he called them. He was a shitty person with shitty views to be sure but plenty of other shitty people followed along lockstep right behind him.
Dillon Mathis - Dillion was a boot and little else. He was raised by racist parents and turned into a rather abhorrent young adult. He had a few qualities one could like but they were drowned out by his attitude and his posture towards anyone that wasn't cisgendered and white. Before the shit hit the fan he was part of a Nazi Punk band called Totenkopf that played mostly in the North Western US with a few other members. He was never far from a bright red shirt that depicted the party flag with it's large white circle and prominent black swastika.
Joseph York - Joseph was a smart man in his early 30s who fell in with the wrong crowd. He should have known better but he didn't, or at least didn't care if he did. He held the same crap views as the rest of those he hung around with. He served four years in the military before graduating college with a engineering degree. He had a decent job that paid well before everything went to shit.
Robert Shepard - Robert was a well educated man, graduating from Harvard. He was also a devout racist and anti-semite who saw the white race as superior. He has written several books on the subject and was rather vocal about his views. He floated around white nationalist circles, promoting his views online. He likened himself a scholarly figure with educated views on the world when really he was just a racist bigot.
Dwight Barnett - Dwight was a local chapter-head in Washington State for the Hammersturm organization, a man going on his 40s who has been in one White Power movement or another since he was a teenager. Blood, soil, and honor have always been his mantra. He is a piece of trash who clings to a very white view of Christianity and espouses some rather hateful rhetoric. His end goal was always to start a Race War that would end with his own race on top, lording over everyone else. He dreamed of a time when the other races could be once again subjugated and put back in the place they belonged.
Eddie Ferrell - Eddie was a bully, always has been. He was that guy that followed you throughout your primary schooling picking on you until you finally graduated high school. His parents were losers, his father an alcoholic, his mother addicted to drugs. He himself didn't fall far from the tree. He found a place where he could fit in, a place where he was accepted and he fell for the bullshit that came along with it hook, line and sinker. He fell in with Neo-Nazi and White Power circles and bought into all of the bullshit they sold him. He believed himself and the white race to be somehow superior, to have better genes.
Tommy Baxter - Tommy spent his youth angry at the world and channeled that anger into his hatred and white nationalism as an adult. He was a chain smoker who kept his head shaved and always wore a pair of shit kicker boots.
Kurt Schmidt - Kurt fashioned himself an intellectual who was trying too rebrand the White Nationalist movement into well dressed men in khakis, something he thought to be more palpable despite the fact that it wasn't the dressed that mattered, it was the racism and hatred that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
Samson Boothe - Sammy was another angry man who wasn't blessed with a head full of brain cells. He spent his life getting into fights and spent some time in jail for both petty crimes and a few of those fights. He was an unabashed white supremacist with no shame in his hatred.

Rebecca Powers - Rebecca was attractive and popular in right wing circles. She was a gun girl popular with the NRA and had her own Instagram once upon a time where she posted thirsty pictures of her with a variety of guns, hawking a variety of gun products in her pictures. Problem was she was also a rather devout racist who barely hid her white nationalist views.

Kimberly Buchanan - Kimberly was a network anchor for the Freedom First America News Network, otherwise known as FFANN(FAN). She did not bother to hide her racist views of the world, espousing viewpoints that had a very privileged and white bent to them. She had a very blood and soil take on her worldview and viewed minorities as a direct threat to the existence of white people.
Ervin Patton - Ervin was a sergeant in charge of the defense of the compound as well as the protection of the compound.
Brandi Wolfe - Brandi was a former senator on her first term in the senate when the shit hit the fan. She was a devout racist who, while low key with her views, was not ashamed to hold them in private. She worked in the senate towards goals and an aim that looked to serve white people and directly worked against minority communities.

Black Dawn
Father Joseph - Joseph Montgomery Horne. He was a rather charismatic and sociopathic man with a tendency towards anger and a proclivity for teenage girls. He spent some time in prison for one minor crime or another before latching onto the Black Dawn Trinity, soon shortened to simply the Black Dawn. It was a doomsday cult where Joseph preached about the end of the world and the coming salvation through him and his teachings. Despite all of the man's shortcomings he was a rather charismatic speaker, a sociopath who knew how to rile up a crowd. He slowly accumulated a series of devout followers in the dozens that soon grew into well over one hundred people. He would preach about the end of the world, the end of days, and the coming of judgement and retribution for the sinners on this earth. It was through him and him alone that one could find divine salvation and seek refuge from the coming judgement. Some of his followers wavered in their belief right up until the zombie apocalypse hit. It struck all of the right chords and closely mimicked the end of days scenario he preached about. Truth be told his preachings were the ramblings of a nut and had nothing to do with him somehow predicting the shit hitting the fan. But the shit did hit the fan and it turned all of those beneath him into devout followers who hung on his every word. They would kill for their savior if he were to ask them too.
Mother May - May Anne Horne. May was a woman with skeletons in her closet. Not only did she help her husband, Father Joseph, lure in and have sex with several underage woman over the years she also helped him bury one of them in a shallow grave, wrapped in a blanket and covered in multiple stab wounds. She buried her sins, drowning them in the teachings of her husband. Much like her husband she was a sociopath and certifiably insane. She did not like nor trust outsiders, much like Joseph, and steered those in the congregation that lives out post-apocalypse life at the divine sanctuary to be hostile and violent towards outsiders. Outsiders are viewed as sinners and any message they might have is viewed as sinful dogma meant only to try and steer you away from the teachings of Father Joseph, to drag you down into the muck where you will face the same punishment the rest of the world has.
Phillip - Phillip was Father Joseph's right hand man and very loyal. He knew Joseph from the before times and does anything Joseph wants him to do. He is thoroughly brainwashed into Joel's service. He was a man who was in and out of prison, his life on a road going nowhere until he met Joseph and was mesmerized by his teachings. Before the shit hit the fan he worked odd jobs in construction and handyman work. Phillip is a violent man with a temper that Joseph keeps on a short leash like a guard dog.
Paul - Paul was another man that Joseph trusted with his life and another man completely brainwashed by Joseph and his teachings. And much like Joseph he too enjoyed some of Josephs more deviant sexual proclivities. In his former life Paul gave himself over to the cult and most of his time was spent devoted too the inner workings of the Black Dawn and overseeing the Black Dawn's finances and activities.
Gregory - Gregory was a drunk before the shit hit the fan, an abusive drunk that managed too quit the bottle thanks to the fire and brimstone of Joseph's teachings. Or, at least, so he thought. He fell off the wagon a few times but Joseph manages to keep him in some semblance of line... Not because he actually truly cares, but more because Gregory running around a raging drunk with an anger for anyone that crosses his path isn't someone Joseph wants too deal with. It causes more problems and headaches for him. He has already threatened to excommunicate Gregory back out into the world too face the wrath of the zombie hordes once. Now we just have too see of Gregory can shape up enough too listen.
