For Race... Soil... And Honor.
Hammersturm(Hammer Storm) was a ranking white nationalist movement with several chapters in the US that sat high on the ADL's list of dangerous and radical Nazi groups. They were another group built for riding out the zombie apocalypse.
White nationalist and Nazi movements are known for their distrust in the Jew occupied government, also known as the ZOG, hiding away in the woods in militant compounds where they trained for the coming storm. Hammersturm was working towards what they viewed as a coming race war and war over what others saw as progress in the face of the Black Lives Matter movement and other such movements for social justice along with the rise of groups like ANTIFA.
They trained at a compound out in the woods somewhere in the South Eastern region of Oregon. They had membership across the US and when the apocalypse hit as many of them as could coalesced and gathered at their main training compound in Oregon to ride out the coming storm. It was their largest training compound sitting on a private acreage of forested land.
One would think that a global biohazard type incident that turned everyone into the walking dead would change their opinion on things but it did not. They do not like people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, Jews, Muslims, or really anyone that isn’t cisgendered, white and Christian. Or at least their perverted form of Christianity that leaves room for plenty of violence towards members of the groups they hate. These days they dislike and distrust anyone outside of their own ranks, this including other white folk. They stick to themselves and are pretty hostile towards outsiders.
Their compound is well protected and they are both well armed and well trained. Guns were plentiful in the US and easy to get your hands on illegally so they stockpiled a lot of them. They were never intended for surviving a zombie apocalypse, instead more intended for their coming race war and war against the Federal Government but things change.
Marcus Ziegler was their leader, a man in his mid-70s. Going by Mark he was the son of a former ranking party figure within the Nazi party that helped oversee some semblance of the attempted eradication of the Jewish people during WWII. He was born in Venezuela where his father fled too in order to escape judgement and prosecution for his crimes against humanity as a member of the Nazi party.
Marcus has always been a big proponent of a second final solution and conspiracy theories surrounding the idea of a Zionist occupied government. He had his own radio show, internet blog and forum under the Hammer and Shield moniker where he espoused his views ranging from the abomination of homosexuality to the abhorrence of the “mud people”, as he called them. He was a shitty person with shitty views to be sure but plenty of other shitty people followed along lockstep right behind him.
Second in command beneath him is Daryl Larkins, a man who claims Scandinavian heritage covered in several shocking and hate filled tattoos with a large unmistakable swastika the most predominant one. He was another figure head in the movement and someone everyone else looked up too. He was a hateful man who did not tolerate outsiders, vicious to those he did not trust or like.
The compound has several dozen or more people all living there, well armed and surviving the apocalypse. Even several families full of brainwashed children lived there. They likened themselves to a militia, even before the apocalypse but they were little more than a radicalized group of bigots who lived in their own self-created thought bubble and lived on a diet of OANN and other more extreme right wing news sources.
Several members from other groups coalesced onto the training camp and headquarters in smaller numbers which include the Aryan Nations, III Percenters and the Oath Keepers as friends and family within Hammersturm put out the good word. They all have a presence here with members flocking to the remote compound too wait out the apocalypse. The group itself is a dangerous hodge podge of weekend warriors, members who would probably shoot their foot off with a gun before hitting anyone else and members with practiced skill with firearms. They have members from military and law enforcement backgrounds, all with membership in one hate group or another, that including hate groups that liked too fashion themselves as mere militias out there to keep watch on the Government and protect our dear constitution. In the end every last one of them ended up believing in one whack-job conspiracy or another and all were, at least in some small part, prepared for the end of the world.
The compound itself exited down a gravel drive that snaked through a large wooded property in an more remote part of south eastern Oregon. The compound was originally surrounded in a chain link fence topped with a few rows of barbed wire but has since been further protected by tall wooden posts positioned in the ground to act as a secondary wall separating the compound from the outside world. The compound has a single large main building where business is conducted. It has two barracks buildings that can sleep several dozen people. There are also seven cabins that can sleep several people, all of the buildings constructed on the property after it was purchased to act as a training headquarters and a means of escape from the Government by the White Nationalist group that owned it. It had a small armory building where the guns and ammo are stored that sat beside a shooting range for training. The group has several pick-up trucks and other 4x4 vehicles parked inside the compound with a mechanic building built after the shit hit the fan and stocked with scrounged tools to help repair their vehicles on site. They have a large garden and an animal pen because after all, eating is a necessity. They also have a water storage system since well, drinking water is also a necessity.
They have several 4x4 vehicles that have been modified with armor and protection to help them scavenge out away from their compound and come back alive. They have a single 4x4 truck, otherwise known as a technical given that it has been mounted with an M240 machine gun in the bed overlooking the cab so it is able to be fired on the move.
