Storyteller Driven Characters. Survivors of the Zombie Apocalypse in a supporting role, sheer luck once again playing a role in the fact they are still alive. But for how long? They each bring their own unique set of skills, challenges and problems. How many will survive to see their way out West? What is really out there? The rumored safe zone? Nothing? More of the same? And worse yet not all of them are friendly. Not all of them want to play nice. Some just want to use up anyone they find for their own gain now that they live in a lawless world. And some were pretty horrible people before the Zombie apocalypse ever happened. A skull watermark indicates that the survivor met their last, that they did not make it, killed or turned.

New York City
Abigail - A twelve year old girl who has somehow managed to thwart death by a measure of luck and determination, hiding out amongst the Zombie Hordes, surviving on junk food and soda.
Gale Weathers - A local Morning Television style evangelical preacher(Fame 2) and part of Weathers Ministries who has seen controversy in recent years among local and national media outlets for her rather racy religious comments and stances. She has viewed the Zombie Apocalypse as the last Coming of Christ, a plague wrought upon the world as punishment for some dire sin or another. Her position has been slowly eroded away with each and every death she has witnessed, clearly hiding something behind the religious facade.
Ohio
Megan Potter - If she hears one more Harry Potter joke she might just stab you. One.. More.. She is a very self-confident woman that loves reading books. She spent her days working for the CDC, dealing with and studying some rather nasty viruses with her spare time spent reading books or playing video games.
Daniel Adams - Conspiracy theorist and survival nut. Contrails are real, aliens have been to earth and the government had plans to take over through marshal law. This is all one big Government mess in his opinion and he is here to wait it out and prove himself right.
Addison Painter - A four and a half year old little girl who has survived the Zombie Apocalypse on sheer luck and the tenacity of her parents up until their untimely death.
Indiana
1st Sergeant Brad Miller - Yet another victim of the Zombie Apocalypse, lost and confused. He was separated from his unit when things went to shit in a hurry. What few men were with him were quickly overtaken as one of them was bitten and went crazy. Before the man was fully overtaken by the H2N5 Virus he managed to gun down two of his own squad, badly maiming a third before Sgt Miller put one between his eyes. The man is lost without any communication to any sort of High Command, a Sergeant with a meaningless rank surviving on his own.
Selena Romanov - Before all of this, before everything went crazy, she was a mechanic by trade. She loved old muscle cars. Now she just fights for her own survival in a world full of Zombies.
Old Building
Lieutenant Robert Baker - He has had it with these mother fucking zombies in this mother fucking apocalypse. Tenacity is what has kept him alive so far, tenacity and a measure of luck mixed with a healthy dash of skill at shooting a weapon. The man spent his career learning how to face down the bad guys and live to tell about it, a knowledge that translated well after the apocalypse started. That and he just wasn't ready to turn into one of them.
Patricia Strong - Archery champion with several awards to back her skill. A tenacious and determined young woman with a knack for surviving in the wilderness. Do not cross her or you just might take an arrow to the knee and an arrow dead center between the eyes.
Christina Andrews - Hiding out has worked out well for her. Surviving on luck and little else. A very caring and kind individual, vegan to boot with a big heart for animals.
Sarah Stein - A former politician running on the Green Party ticket. Too bad none of that exists now. All of her proposals and policies mean nothing any more. There is no-one around to listen save a few Zombies and trust me, they don't care.
Douglas York - Computer nerd and hacker extraordinaire. He could break into a wide variety of computer systems. Ofcourse, what with the electrical grid down and the internet out that knowledge is somewhat pointless. World of Warcraft never taught much in the way of real world skills either, even if it was fun.
Cabin
Rachel Harper - A former barista at Star Bucks before everything went to hell and one time employee at Game Stop. Once upon a time she was a video game nerd who wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life and college but that was in the past and the harsh realities of life after the Zombie apocalypse have changed her, face with trials and tribulations no-one should be forced to face.
IOWA
Nicole Savage - A vet tech recently graduated from college with a degree in Veterinary Medicine she was looking out upon a bright future. That is, up until the shit hit the fan. Now she struggles to survive, clinging onto life in a world where other people are just as much a threat to your continued existence as are the Zombies that now far outnumber their human counterparts.
Biker Gang
Derrick Connor - Member of the Chained Skulls Motorcycle Club. He is the founding member and President of the club. The Chained Skulls club has been looked at and watched by the FBI and other agencies such as the DEA for a while now. Derrick is a hard man who takes no shit from anyone. He has been in and out of jail twice, once on drug charges and a second time for beating a man unconscious in a bar fight.
Nick Connor - Derrick's younger brother and member of the Chained Skulls Motorcycle Club. Having overcome addiction to drugs he tries to keep his life together somewhat despite all of the other illegal things he does for is Club. He himself has also been in an out of jail on minor charges.
Raven - She goes by Raven, no other name really. Another member of the Chained Skulls biker club. Like most of the Club's members she has been in and out of trouble for various reasons. She has an attitude that often gets her labeled a bitch but she doesn't seem to care much.
Bobby Ford - Derrick's on-and-off girlfriend. The two fight more then they don't fight. Out of everyone in the club she hasn't really seen any jail time and tries to keep out of drugs. A pretty face with an attitude when she wants one.
Jeremy Dempsey - He likens himself a badass and tries hard to portray that image too everyone around him. The man drinks too much and has a short temper for most things. He is loyal though and has your back if he considers you close.
Victoria
Elliot Lindsay - Elliot was a 14 year old slogging her way through high school when the shit hit the fan. Much like everyone else, the Zombie outbreak took all of those she loved. Grit and luck helped Elliot too survive long enough too shack up with another group headed west. Through both trial and tribulation she made it west, her group growing and shrinking in number. Once west she found herself with the Victoria community where she has been ever since, finding refuge and saftey within the community.
Jillian Roberts - Jillian was a park ranger with the Adirondack National Park service before shit hit the fan. She is a tough and resilient woman that your better off not crossing. This isn't to say she isn't a nice person, just very protective of both herself and those with her. She knew how to survive off of the land and scavenge, two skills that really came in handy once the shit hit the fan. She also wasn't half bad with a gun and was handy with a knife. Did did kickboxing for exercise and sport before it all went to hell.
Hayato Takahashi - Hayato, or Yato as he has come to be called, was at one point in time a geeky nerd with an addiction to swords and martial arts films. He worked for an accounting firm in Boston until everything went south and now he travels west, honing his skill with a bladed weapon one Zombie at a time.
Matt Portabello - He was your typical college student. Alcohol and parties with some studying crammed in there for effect but the world as it is now has a way of changing you, a way of hardening you. That is what this world did too Matt. He is a different man from the one he was before, sometimes he doesn't even recognize himself.
Harry Quinton - A big bad ass mother fucker. Or at least he would like for you to think that. A cowboy boot wearing son'ova'bitch with a score to settle with some walkers. He likes his country, his alcohol and his NASCAR. He is a nice enough guy once you get to know him, loyal to a fault once you really get to know him. Former truck driver.
Natalie Dover - A cheerful woman who spent her days before things went to shit working a nine too five sales job. In her spare time she hung with friends and went camping. She enjoyed the outdoors and life in general. But it was hard to do any of that anymore when your forced to spend each day trying to stay alive.

Christian Harris - Skate boarding and long boarding were his thing, big into recreational drug use and protests, saving the environment with signs and slogans.
Jeremy Renter - A self professed hardass who has been in jail once or twice for things like assault and resisting arrest. He considered himself part of an alt-right movement, just another name for white nationalism, trying to survive just like everyone else. Of course, it is still hard to put away personal opinions.
Jonathan Chambers - A man in his early twenties. He was just starting his journey into college, had just found a nice girlfriend, everything was stating to go well for him and life was starting to fall into place. He was a chemistry major with a job delivering pizzas on the side and then Zombies happened.
Juliana Mikhailov - A freelance writer and journalist who has published papers and articles in several well known and well read magazines and online news sources. It is just too bad there doesn't seem to be much of anyone still alive to read her journalism now.
Oriris - No-one really knows his last name. He never speaks much on his life before all of this. He seemed to have it all together though, a wisdom not seen in many. He is a natural leader, or so he comes across.
Michaela Smith - Still in college and still trying to earn a Bachelors degree in K-12 education, hoping to one day become an elementary school teacher. Not that any of that will do much good now, at least not yet. Maybe if and when civilization ever rebuilds itself from the undead ashes of what is left.
Kelsey Davies - She worked a nine-to-five job of no real consequence before this all happened, one that offered her up no real skills at dealing with zombies and more just skills at dealing with bitchy and annoying customers.
Lief Elrikson - A big bicycling nut who loved bicycling. He loved being outdoors on a mountain bike, back in the woods. His time when the apocalypse wasn't on was spent working at, of all places, a bicycle shop. Big shocker there.
Arthur Brody.
Lynn Alvarez.
California
Thomas Bastion - A former Navy Seal in his fifties who has managed to survive the Zombie outbreak through a measure of luck, skill and being a badass. He is very good with hand to hand combat, just as good with close quarters knife combat and rather skilled with a gun. The man has seen more war then most people, having spent years in the military. He has been on more then his share of once classified combat operations behind enemy lines but none of that matters anymore. All that matters is that he doesn't get bitten.
Angelina Brewer - At twenty-four Angelina was an up and coming model on the circuit that was just starting to hit it big in the industry when shit hit the fan and everyone died. So much for her modeling career. She is alive all thanks to Thomas Bastion, a former Navy Seal on a mission to keep from dying. She met him early on after a string of good luck kept her from being swallowed up in the Zombie outbreak, two lone survivors making their way in the undead landscape.
Aliyah Guiterez.
Joshua Sampson - A member of the LGBT+ community.
Daliyah Balewa.
Barbara Winston - A lawyer in another life that specialized in smaller legal cases, lawsuits and sometimes saw celebrity clients.

Samuel Stersky.
Devon Pulasky - A professional welder in his former life, a hot commodity now that everything has gone to shit.
Matthew Spivey.
Carlos Santiago - Once upon a time he was manager for a shop that did customization jobs on cars. Bigger rims, flashy paint jobs, lowering kits and the lot. What with the shit hitting the fan there wasn't much want or need for his work.
David Jeffers - A rustic man who lived off of the land and worked as a stage hand for a small-time production studio that put on plays and other promotions. His real passion was wood working however. He had a wife and daughter but his wife did not make it through the apocalypse. His daughter he holds close to him, the only thing he has left.
November Jeffers - A girl having just turned seven and David Jeffer's daughter.
Officer Debbie Wasserman - A member of the local police force who survived through a large measure of luck followed up by some skill and a heaping of determination.
Bethany Arbors - An actress before all of this with several movies behind her belt, a few of them actual blockbusters. (Fame 4)

Rebecca Keefe - A former barista turned dental assistant for a local dentists office before everything went to shit.
Andrew Palko.
Margaret Prentice - High on the food chain in an inner city skyrise for one large company or another. Not that any of that mattered now.
Darlene Stanfield - She was a mother once upon and time but after the shit hit the fan that changed and that changed her. She is a different woman from the one she was before this all happened. That life is gone and she doesn't speak much of it. She smiles but is that really a smile these days?
Mario Paldressi - Full time hairdresser before any of this.
Boston/Rhode Island
Larry Stone - In a former life Larry was a bit of a hippy. He did a few too many drugs in his youth, worked odd jobs, finally settled down with a career in music as a semi-but-not-very-successful acoustic musician. He never made it very big despite releasing an album or two. But he actually liked it that way. He strummed in bars and clubs, doing his thing, making his way. Then the world went to shit. One thing he knew well was how too live off of the land and survive when you had nothing and that helped him out greatly when things got rough after the world fell apart.
Benjamin Gallardo - Ben spent some time in the military in Desert Storm before he left that life and wound up a contractor for hire. He had a daughter once but she didn't make it through the days following the zombie mess. Her death threatened to drive him to the brink of insanity if he hadn't run into Samara. He met her on a trip south too Rhode Island with a few other survivors that he had gotten too know in the weeks turned months since the apocalypse. Boston and the whole Eastern Seaboard from Washington D.C. all the way up towards Main was crawling with the undead. Millions upon millions of zombies gathered in big cities like Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston. Death was only one mistake away so they all started west.
Samara Casey - Samara was, first and foremost, deaf. At 14 she had just started high school when the shit hit the fan. She lost everyone she loved to the zombie outbreak then slowly but surely lost everyone she dared get close too after the outbreak was in full swing. She dare not get close too anyone until she met Benjamin who pretty much saved her life. The two didn't hit it off very well at first, both of them very guarded, stung by too much loss and afraid to care or lose again. But as they headed west they grew closer too each other, forming a very close relationship and bond as they went. Benjamin did not know sign language but through Samara he was able too learn, rather proficient in sign language by the time they finally got west.
Oregon
Aimee Mason - A full-time mother before this all started with a daughter who is going on 9. She was an interpreter before this, working for a company that did a lot of interpreting for area hospitals. She can speak ASL, Spanish, French and Japanese rather fluently and knows her way around Russian. She was also bi-sexual but tended to lean towards women.
Jessica Mason - Jessica was born deaf, the daughter of Aimee, a rather inquisitive child who always wanted to be an astronaut or a scientist when she grew up.
Alyssa Russo - Alyssa Russo was an up and coming musician on the local Punk and Indy scene. Her band had just released their first CD and were on their way to a record label when the shit hit the proverbial fan. Her band is dead, or well, walking dead. She is bummed about losing out on the start of a sweet deal as a musician but hey, still alive, so she can't complain too much.
Brooke Bowman - Brooke was a full-time writer who had several published books on spirituality and self-help along with a non-fiction book or two. She has done the book tour once and had a few books for sale at chain-style bookstores. But this was all before the shit hit the fan and now it is just weird seeing her face on the cover of books sitting dusty on the shelves at abandoned bookstores.
Kaisha Johnson - "This is Brett Walters, and I am Kaisha Johnson. Good morning from everyone here at WVLT Channel 8 news, connecting you to what is happening in and around your community." It was a familiar jingle that featured the late 20s News Anchor. Kaisha had done a little of everything in news media since graduating college until finally landing a gig as a morning news anchor for Channel 8 news. She was both gay and in a relationship with Aimee.
Amira Noori - Amira was a clinical psychologist with her own practice before the shit hit the fan and the world went crazy. Now she just tries to hold it together herself, spending more time psychoanalyzing heself then she does other people.
Colton Townsend - A college student that spent a lot of time at the gym and held down one job or another. He had several, moving from one job too another. Pizza delivery? Check. Uber driver? Yep. Sales associate? Did that. Fast food? Probably. It was a collection of random low-wage jobs since High School to help pay his own wage through college. His dad was a piece of trash and his mother casually put up with it and let him beat on her so Colton made his own way.
Casey Pittman - MMA fighter and Boxer who made a living beating on other people while getting pummeled. Casey was on the up and up, among the top in the fighting circuit and could throw a mean left hook. He was known for quick knockouts. A jab here, a swing there, a quick punch to the middle and you were down. He won more fights then he lost, even taking into account that he spent a small stint in prison for knocking a man at a bar out cold for touching his girlfriend at the time inappropriately. It threatened to de-rail his career but then the zombie apocalypse destroyed his career.
Kirby Wagner - High School science teacher and he swears to god, if one more person makes a Kirby joke in reference to the vacuum or the game character... He was pretty popular among the students who didn't find science boring despite the jokes he got about his name. It is just too bad the student body is now dead and walking the earth as shambling corpses.
Edward Calhoun - Warrant Officer Edward Calhoun. He served several tours of duty in both Iraq and Afghanistan, a Warrant Officer with one special forces group or another. He has seen his share of war, done his share of killing, and some might say was built for the end of the world as we know it. He has applied all of his skills learned through a career in the Army to survive in this new world, one zombie at a time.
Mila Karpenko - She goes by Karpenko more then she does Mila. She had plenty of firearms training and some military training too. It was hard to say where or when and she didn't talk about it too much. But when the shit really hit the fan and you were surrounded by zombies she was someone you wanted at your back, or better yet, at your side. Don't try and cross her or stab her in the back and you had an ally for life. Do either and she might just slit your throat in your sleep. She could come off as hard and no-nonsense sometimes but could you really blame her after everything she has probably seen since the world went to shit? After all, the number one goal for everyone is staying alive3-
Redmond
Mika Adakai - Mika was an older man just turned 70 who spent his life living off of the land, secluded on a piece of land he had secured for himself through jobs as a steelworker and welder. His career choice in the trade industry paid well. He was born on a reservation and moved away after joining the military at 18 and being shipped off to Vietnam as part of the United States Army. He survived getting shot once, shrapnel in the leg, and some annoying foot fungus that itched and burned. If you ask him, it was worse then the shrapnel. He survived the zombie apocalypse because of his want for seclusion, just him and his wife on their property living off of the land and enjoying early retirement where he spent his days carving and making things with his hands as a hobby that he sold as a side hustle. These days they live off the land in seclusion up in the mountains in their cabin, hunting for food and growing vegetable crops, happy in their solitude. They are a nice couple once you get too know them but hostile too outsiders where most outsiders are up to no good. As evidence of this there are three shallow graves out back in the forests behind their cabin where Mika, with the help of a Browning rifle and a shovel, buried a few men that weren't interested in sharing or trading, only taking.
Aponi Adakai - Aponi was a woman in her early 70s, pleasant with a smile for just about everyone. Much like her husband she was born on a reservation. She spent her life as a school bus driver before finally retiring from that and settling down for a life of seclusion in the mountains. She enjoyed watching the world go by in early retirement, using her hands too craft as a side hustle much like her husband, tending to her gardens and enjoying the peace it gave her. When the shit hit the fan she holed up in their cabin with her husband, using their skill at living off of the land too wait out the end of the world and live past it, surviving on their own in what is left of what once was the world they knew.
Ayiana Adakai - Ayiana was Mika and Aponi's grand daughter. She was sent too stay with them with things went bad and, as far as she knows, her parents never made it out of the end of the world alive. She has survived so far by hiding out with her grandparents in their cabin, living off the land, hunting for food. Aiyana was an easy going teen at seventeen years of age, big into painting and rather good at it. She always was a little artist growing up, some pretty impressive pieces always hanging on the fridge with magnets.
Catherine Turner - Catherine wasn't anything special before the shit hit the fan. She was a wife, mother, and social worker who worked mostly with children. She had only just learned how shoot a gun before the shit hit the fan and even then only a pistol. But she was a tenacious and determined woman. And it was through a measure of tenacity, determination, and a healthy dose of luck that she and her kids made it out of the end of the world as everyone knew it alive. Her husband didn't make it, bitten and pulled to the ground by a swarm of zombies. Catherine watched one come leaping out of a group of them. She watched it tackle her husband to the ground and watched them tear her husband up, feasting on him as he screamed in pain. The memory rests in the back of her mind like a horror film on repeat and despite how much she tries too forget it every now and again she finds herself thinking about it, about that moment, frozen in dread and fear, stilled by anxiety until she forces herself too swallow it all down and think of her children.
Enid Turner - Enid was Catherine's daughter, a twelve year old girl who was big into gymnastics and tumbling before the shit hit the fan. She was on her school's cheer leading team, a social butterfly that struggled hard too adapt to this new world she found herself in.
Lucas Turner - Lucas was thirteen and socially awkward. Before things went south he loved everything a boy his age tended too love with video games being number one for him. He did some sports, playing soccer off and on. And much like his sister he was a good kid who never really got into any trouble.
Brooke Green
Shannon Laird - Shannon was a lawyer before the shit hit the fan, a personal injury and divorce attorney who made a pretty good living which afforded her an upper middle class lifestyle in a private gated community. Once married she divorced about a year before everything went south and hasn't seen her ex-husband since, figuring him for dead. The marriage wasn't working out and that spark they once had just wasn't there. They didn't get along more then they did and every attempt to fix it they tried didn't work. She has one kid from her former marriage, a young daughter, who is trying to survive the apocalypse alongside her.
Lorie Laird - Shannon's daughter who is going on six.
Angelina Santiago - Angelina was a former local politician that had her eyes set on Congress but none of that meant much now. The shit hit the fan and her position in local government became pointless. She figured pretty much everyone that sat on the local board making decisions for the town was dead and good riddance to over half of them. Now she just tries to survive, helping to run the little community she and those around her have made for themselves.
Brooke Newman - An architect and engineer with a degree in both architectural engineering and electrical engineering, yet another job that was actually useful in the apocalypse. Brooke loved her job and loved the small company she worked for. It was a job that paid well with a very positive atmosphere. That was all up until the shit hit the fan. Now she uses her skills as an architect to help their community grow, helping design and build new structures. She was a rather smart woman with a sharp and focused wit but had a smile and good mood for everyone.
Christian Newman -
Isabella Newman - Christian and Brooke's adopted daughter.
John Gates - John was the resident shop teacher at the High School, that being how he and Patricia met. He was a handyman who could fix just about anything given time. He loved woodworking and had an odd assortment of random skills outside of his main skill set of fixing things.
Patricia Gates - In a former life Patricia was a high school gym teacher and coached women's soccer but that was before everything went to shit. Now she just busies herself trying to survive, picking up new skills along the way. Oh, and she really doesn't care for the name Pat so try and stick to Patricia.
Timothy Gates - John and Laurie's 12 year old son.
Molly Gates - John and Laurie's 13 year old daughter.
Kristyn Sparks - Kristyn's profession before this all started wasn't very glamorous, a high end prostitute who sold her body for money. She enjoyed her job as much as one could and her clients paid her well.
Allyson Russolini - Allyson worked for the NYPD before the shit hit the fan, a beat cop on the force. Her skills gleaned from time as a cop and the academy helped her to survive and make it out west, escaping the hellhole that was New York City for something better out west. Did she find it? Will she find it? Only time will tell.
Kenichi Takahashi - Ken, as he often went by, was a software designer and engineer before the shit hit the fan. He made good money with a work from home style job that saw him in the office every now and again, occasionally flying across the country to help oversee a software application or implementation for which he was the brainchild. He lived a comfortable life thanks to his job with a wife and three kids.
Hitomi Takahashi - Hitomi was a columnist and blog writer for several online publications and had her name attached to a myriad of various articles that ranged from fashion too food, never one to pigeonhole herself into one topic. She was well versed on a wide range of topics that she loved to write about and apply a measure of knowledge and expertise.
Kiyoshi Takahashi - Ki was Ken's 11 year old son, a very bright child with a love for video games and comic books.[/center]

His wife came down with cancer and after a long and bitter struggle passed away early on in Mark's life.
Washington
Coralynn Blair - She was a porn model once upon a time. She worked for a porn company called LoveStudios. She starred in more female-on-female content then anything but was known to have a varied catalog of porn videos that included men and a variety of kinks. But that was all before the shit hit the fan. That was in her past. Now she did what she had to do in order to survive, learning what she had to learn. She couldn't shoot a gun before everything went south but that all changed, not someone you wanted to mess with. Luck kept her alive in those initial days and the weeks turning into months that followed but that luck was going to run out unless she replaced it with some skill.
Hope Monroe - Hope was in high school when the shit hit the fan. She was struggling with teenage problems and homework. But none of that mattered once the world fell apart. Tenacity and determination kept her alive, seventeen now. She learned quick not to trust anyone but her younger sister who she would protect at all costs. Not everyone left was bad people but it was hard to tell the bad from the good and the bad ones just wanted to use you up. Go ahead and try her, push your luck, she might just blow your head off. She shacked up with a small group of good people and they survived until most of them were dead. This world was harsh and if you weren't vigilant and quick on your toes it would kill you.
Lauren Monroe - Lauren, or Ren for short, was a spunky young girl going on eleven years old. She has been with her sister ever since the shit hit the fan. Life before things fell to shit wasn't easy for either of them. They were both left to the foster care system before finally finding a good home after their birth parents turned out to be shitty at that job. They found loving foster parents who raised them until their death when the world as we knew it disappeared. After that the two were on their own for the longest time.
Eugene
Charity Sykes - French Teacher. Charity Sykes was a High School foreign language teacher that taught french before the shit hit the fan. She can speak French, German, and some Italian. She is a single mother and the child of a teenager. The father turned out to be a piece of trash that skipped out early. And then a few visits from Law Enforcement, a Restraining Order, and a trip too prison later the man was out of her life for good. Last she knew he was still in prison when the zombie apocalypse happen and figures he probably died in that prison. Through necessity in her life before everything went to shit she learned how to shoot a gun, and through even more necessity when everything fell apart she learned how to shoot a gun even better.
Amber Sykes - Teenager. Amber Sykes, a girl going on fifteen. She had just started High School when everything fell apart and the whole world went to shit. She actually liked high school which made it even worse. Who knew all of the zombies that shambled back and forth to class would turn into real zombies. She was in school when she first experienced the apocalypse, back when the government was still trying to reckon with the entire ordeal and hide how bad it was from the masses. She watched one of her classmates bite a chunk out of another classmates neck. She watched two more classmates feeding on a girl's stomach right there in the hallway. Needless to say, classes were cancelled after that and people were told to quarantine in their homes. It wasn't but days after that when everything went completely to shit and the whole world collapsed as the government lost control of the situation.
Tanner Doyle - Mechanic. Tanner was a mechanic in another life. He loved old cars and classic muscle. He took over where his father left off in the man's old age and worked on cars for a living. He worked on classic cars in his spare time as a hobby and owned a sleek cherry red 1969 Chevelle with white racing stripes. It was a clean piece of American muscle he and his father built together in their garage and he finds himself still thinking about that car every now and again. Where cars were concerned he was a wizard, a natural with a wrench who learned the trade from his father. The two of them often spent hours wrenching around in the garage where he learned and honed his skill.
Hewitt Smalls - Former Marine/Construction Company. Hewitt spent four years in the United States Marine Corpse before retiring from that life to pursue jobs in construction. This eventually led to his own contracting and construction company. He was doing well in life, in a good place when everything fell apart. He was married with a wife and kid. But, life isn't always kind and neither was the zombie apocalypse. He came home to find his wife feasting on his child in the living room. In that instant it changed him and it threatened to change him for the worse. It shattered him but in the days that stretched into months after that he managed to pick up what pieces of himself were left and glue them back together. He wasn't the same man he was before all of this, but he tried his best to remain sane and cling on to what little morality he could find inside himself. What little morality was left in this world. He doesn't like to talk about it, what happened. It never comes up. He never speaks about his marriage, his wife, or his child. It was something he kept locked away in the back of his mind, locked away as only something he knows. Maybe he will speak about it one day but for now at least it remained his tragic and haunting little secret.
Tony Silva -
Jay Alston - Lawyer. A lawyer? What did the lawyer name his daughter? Sue. How can you tell if a lawyer is lying? Other lawyers look interested. But joking asside, he was a lawyer, and he tried hard not to be a scummy one worthy of the million lawyer jokes he heard every day. He was a Civil Rights lawyer that also dabbled in Criminal Law. He spent his years as a lawyer up until the shit hit the fan helping people fight for their rights and others fight for their freedom where the criminal justice system sought to wrongly convict them or keep them wrongly imprisoned behind bars. But then it all went to shit and well... Zombies don't really need lawyers. At least, he hasn't met one yet. So now instead of helping fight for the rights of others he fights for his own life and the lives of those around him me met after it all went to shit and grew attached too.
Samantha Russell - Journalist With CNN. Samantha was a fourty-two year old woman who spent the better part of her adult life in journalism after graduating college with a master's degree in journalism. First it was small time local stations before hitting it big with CNN. She spent some time in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria bringing the fight in war torn countries to your television set. She was attached with several different Army and Marine groups in and around the middle east and has seen her share of action as a result. As a result she was no stranger to being in a tough situation with her life at risk. She found the zombie apocalypse different but at the same time more of the same. For those that regularly watched CNN they might recognize her face.
Dwight Russell - Dwight was sixteen going on seventeen now, adopted at a young age when Samantha found out she couldn't have children. Her husband died early on in the zombie apocalypse when everything was still hectic and confusing. And it wasn't even the zombies that got him, it was other people. A shotgun ended his life over the backpack he was wearing, a slug round making sure he would never take another breath. Well, that isn't true. He fell back into a wall and took a few stumbling gasps of breath before falling into a dead heap of himself. For her part Samantha smacked the murdering shotgun wielding son of a bitch across the face with her own pack and took of running. She and her son took of running and never looked back. They ran and ran and ran from state to state. They spent months never looking back until finally finding a group they could trust. Dwight was a well behaved and knowledgeable teenager, trying his best to make his mothers life easier by learning what he can and helping where he can. This life, the one they were in now, forced him to mature a lot quicker then he otherwise would have.
Sasha Ahoka -
Lara Woodard - Registered Nurse. Lara was a registered nurse from the town of Twin Falls, Idaho. She moved to Twin Falls from the big city of Los Angeles after a stint as a traveling nurse. Then the shit hit the fan. It took a minute to reach Twin Falls but even small town Idaho wasn't safe. Nowhere was safe. She fled Twin Falls and headed west after rumors of something better out that way started popping up. Truth be told it was more of the same shit but maybe she could find a community of people she could try and start something new with.
Idaho
Aundrea Berg - Aundrea grew up on a farm, raised there by an alcoholic father and a wife who put up with it for far too long. Her father ended up in jail and she and her mother out on their own with a baby sister not barely a few years old. They almost lost the farm, falling on hard times after her father left them for prison. Aundrea struggled hard to keep the farm in the family, helping her mother tread water until the woman could finally find her footing before she went off to college. She was employed as a Federal Fish and Wildlife Officer when the shit hit the fan. Her mother didn't make it through the apocalypse once they could no longer hole in at their farm and were forced to flee weeks into the apocalypse. After that it was just her and her sister.
Jessica Berg - Jessica(24YO), Aundrea's younger sister by 14 years, grew up in the same town as her sister, surrounded by horses. She rode horses in competitions in her teenage years. A country girl at heart. For a living she slung drinks at one bar or another to help pay her way through college. That is, right up until the shit hit the fan and classes were cancelled.
Brianna Thomas - Brianna Thomas was a death investigator before the world went to shit and an amateur photographer as a hobby. She was very familiar with death, surrounding herself with it as a career. When the shit hit the fan she took it a little better then most but still, when faced with the shambling hordes of the undead she found it just as difficult not to fall apart as everyone else did. She met Aundrea and her sister Jessica early on in the apocalypse and the three of them have been traveling companions ever since with Jessica and Aundrea steadily falling in love the more then struggled through the zombie infested world together.
Gavin Hoffman -
Rubin Christensen - Rubin... Too look at him one might not fancy him much more then someone out to take advantage of you and toss you aside for the zombies. He could be a crude man at times, wasn't very much for words, and was covered in tattoos but he was loyal and resourceful. He had a long beard and long chest length hair that he often kept pulled back with a single braid or two. In his former life before shit hit the fan he was in and out of trouble, bars, and one biker club or another. He came off like your stereotypical biker brute up to no good but there was much more to him then that once you got too know him and began peeling back the layers. He had a small stint with drug abuse and alcohol but eventually found himself clean. After the shit hit the fan he struggled with the wagon and nearly fell off a time or two but Aundrea found him and helped pull him back up.
Nathaniel Church - Nathaniel Church. Nathaniel Church was a former youth minister and preacher with a wavering faith in the face of the undead hordes that stand before him. His faith in God was shaken and rocked when the shit hit the fan but he came out the other side better for it with a faith that, while still standing strong, has a tendency to waver at times when he finds his mind clouded with darkness. But through that darkness, at least for him, there is always a light that shines brightly and all he has to do is survive long enough to find it again. Like all people he had a few skeletons and demons, but he dealt with them the best he knew how. As a preacher he was always a more accepting sort, straying away from the a fundamentalist path that taught hatred of those who were different over empathy and acceptance. He was never much for violence or guns but in a world like the one they live in now it has a way of forcing you to do things you otherwise wouldn't in order to survive.
Randolph Vaughan - Randolph was a retired fisherman who once owned a hunting and fishing store. His wife fell ill after a stroke and died sometime in his sixties which left him too enjoy retirement alone. He had some kids and some other family scattered around but the zombie apocalypse swallowed them all up. He took his rifle, his trusty six shooter, and that navy blue bucket hat that had seen it's share of wear and set out into the world. The man almost put that six shooter in his mouth and ended it all, instead finding himself faced with hordes of the undead once he pulled himself back from the brink. He was a crafty man who knew how to hold his own. He could hunt, he could fish, and he knew his way around surviving off the land enough to get by.
Daniel Chapman - Think Bear Grylls only not quite as fake. He was an avid outdoors man who knew his way around guns. He was a survivalist who made a living surviving off the land in some rather inhospitable and remote locations for a television program. Life was going really good for him and that program had just been renewed for another season when everything fell apart and the world went to shit. Thankfully for him all of the skill he claimed to possess on his television show he actually possessed in real life and through that he was able to survive the initial chaos of it all and come out the other end alive. From there he has spent every day since Day 0 surviving and trying to stay alive.
Jabocb Bird - Jacob was a smart man, bordering on brilliant with a photographic memory. He couldn't shoot a gun if his life depended on it before the shit hit the fan but you learn quick or die just as quickly. Truth be told it was a large heaping of luck with a pinch of brainpower that kept him alive until he found other people. He carries a revolver with him, never far from a Smith & Wesson Model 67, secured in a cowboy style holster at his side.
Kimberly Curtis - Kimerly was a cheerleader in another life during middle and high school. From there she was an old-field sports commentator for one big to-do sports network or another. You've probably seen her on television at least once if you were at all into watching sports. But then the shit hit the fan and zombies don't watch sports. It doesn't help that the football team and most of the crowd are trying to gnaw on your insides. She learned quick how to survive because it was either that or dying. It helped that she was a resourceful and tenacious woman who knew how to hold her own, especially in a world of sports, which some still every much considered to be a man's world.
Landon Bishop - Landon was a firefighter who worked for a full-time service after moving from a volunteer position before everything went to shit. He spent his life running into burning buildings and now he spends his life running from zombies. He has some basic skill in emergency medicine but most of his skill lies in fighting fires.
Sydney Ahn - Sydney was a former tattoo artist for a shop local too a town in Arizona and very part time model with some Instagram influence and a few tattoos on her back and one on her rib-cage. Problem is not much work for a tattoo artist now. I mean, zombies make pretty horrible clients and the tattoos don't show up all that well on all of that rotted skin anyways. These days she is less into tattoos and more into just not dying.
Darius Jackson - Darius was a small time rapper and music producer big on the local scene, just starting to break out and hit it big on the national scene. If you were into rap music or hip-hop at all you may have heard of him, his name occasionally seen in a collaboration with one famous artist or listed on a compilation CD. He worked closely with Killa Noiz Records. He went by several names throughout his growing career be that Big D, DJ D, D Zilla, or DJ Zilla. But that was then and his career hit rock bottom rather suddenly when the shit hit the fan. Zombies don't care for rap music and aren't into the hot hits on the music charts. They just want brains. He knew his way around a pistol because the streets were hard and he had an image too think about. He was a good guy over all though, managing to stay on the straight and narrow and out of too much trouble despite being knee deep in a Rap career. These days he just tries his best to stay above ground and keep the rotters from taking a chunk out of him. He is a nice guy and a good guy to have at your back, loyal to a fault as long as you treat him with respect and afford him the same courtesies.
Nevada
Susana Harmon - Susana was a bartender before the shit hit the fan. She was a bartender on her way through college in order to do something else with her life. She was good at slinging drinks and popular among those at the bar she worked at. But that was then and this is now. All of those people are dead. The world is different now and a woman who once carried pepper spray on a key chain for that walk across the parking lot at night after her shift had ended could put a bullet between your eyes with a glock pistol she found early on after everything went too shit that rarely left her side. She wasn't a violent person before it all went south but sometimes necessity dictates that you learn how to be a violent person, that violence saving your life, helping you too survive. And that is what she has been doing ever since, surviving. Susana is from Texas, the Dallas Fort Worth area. The first thing she did when it all went south was leave as quick as she could. She nearly died in the process and lost what people tried too escape with her but she made it and she has been making it ever since. She and her group have lost a few people along the way... Alice, Eddie, Dwayne, Logan, Sam. Each name is burned into her memory, their faces, their smiles, their laughs. It haunts her but the faces of those that people have lost haunt everybody who lost them.
Liam Jameson - Liam was a member of the United States army when the shit hit the fan, deployed too Germany as the world started falling apart. He was stationed at Katterbach Kaserne when things started going south in the United States, moved to the Ramstein Air Base for potential mobilization back to the US. That was the last his sister back in the States heard from him. He was called back to the US when things really started falling apart, his flight one of the last flights out of Germany or Europe period bound for the US. Once he got back to the states he tried to contact his sister with no luck, New York having already fallen apart. He thought her dead after he didn't find her in New York but figured his best chance too find her was heading west. With his unit scattered or dead, the government collapsing in on itself, and the US military failing to contain the zombie threat he started west, hoping to find his sister, hoping to find something. New York City was a hellhole and he wasn't going to find anything there but millions of the undead so he went west with one of his squad mates from the Army. That was when he ran into Susana and the others, shacking up with them, one problem after another keeping him from his ultimate goal of heading west.
Sarah Cooper - Sarah was a hairdresser before everything went too shit. She was married once too a man who used to beat the shit out of her. It happened once, twice, four times. She finally worked up the courage too leave him. He found his way too jail. She learned how to shoot a gun when he got out, always afraid he would come back. Then he ended up in prison after beating his next girlfriend too death, a terrible man prone to doing terrible things. She figures he probably died in that prison, a rotting corpse walking around a prison cell aimlessly. She met Liam in Kansas, just outside Wichita. Liam saved her life and their relationship grew from there.
Grant Nakamura - Grant was a delivery driver before the shit hit the fan paying his way through college. Forensic science was going to be his major. It never went anywhere. The world started falling apart on his third year of a four year bachelor's degree when things went south. He learned how to survive through a measure of trial, error, and luck. He met Susana in Oklahoma, he himself on his way west. They hit it off well and they've been surviving together since.
Carter Green - Carter was a professional boxer in another life who was semi-retired from the sport and used his time and money giving back to his community. He ran a community center where he taught other aspiring young boxers and helped the young boys stay out of trouble and away from the hard life he had growing up, away from the gangs that plagued his childhood and almost sent him too prison as a teenager. He has an eleven year old son, both of them from Kansas City Missouri, traveling west where they ran into Susana and her growing group in Colorado.
Annette Collier - Anette was a county clerk for one courthouse or another, handing out license plates. It wasn't a very fancy job but it was a steady job in local government that paid well. She had the job for years, years right up until the apocalypse laid her off. She was married several times, having really bad luck when it came too husbands. Her first husband died of a heart attack in the middle of the night. Her second husband died in a car accident and her third husband... Well, the end of the world did him no favors. At this point if she is done with marriage. Zombie apocalypse or no zombie apocalypse.
Traci Dionne - Traci was always a go-getter. She was a self-employed woman and home remodeler and refurbisher before things went south. You might recognize her from a show on HGTV, Traci and Dan Facelift. Dan is no longer Dan the remodeler and was now Dan the zombie. Traci made it out alive though and has been making it ever since. In her spare time she liked taking old furniture people were going to throw away and giving it a new life. But all of that is behind her now. These days she just spends each hour trying too survive.
Trisha Kirkland - Trisha was a bouncer at a country-western club in one city or another before shit all fell apart. The Wild Saloon. She did bouncing work and security for that club and before that a different bar. Friday nights were always busy, the club a very happening place, especially among the twenty and thirty crowd. It was what she seemed too enjoy though; kicking drunks out, breaking up fights, and making sure men behaved. She knew how too ride a horse, something she learned growing up, a skill she kept and enjoyed as an adult. She also enjoyed line dancing classes in her spare time. This was all before the shit hit the fan. Her skill as a bouncer and her ability too think quickly on her feet came in handy after everything went too shit and all of that seasoned with a nice rub of luck has gotten her this far.
Olivia Rivera - Olivia was a teenager and a gymnast before the world fell apart. If you kept up with gymnastics or happen too tune in too the summer Olympics then you might have heard of her. She scored two gold medals and a silver medal in the Olympics. Not that any of that really matters all that much anymore. A back handspring and round-off aren't going to do very much against a zombie, no matter how good you are at them, gold medal worthy back handspring or not. She went from having her face on a box of Wheaties cereal too trying not to get bitten and eaten alive. Olivia has survived this long on the same determination she had as an Olympic hold medalist, a measure of street-smarts, and the help of others. She didn't know how to shoot a gun before the world went too shit but you had better bet she knows now.
Chelsea Harmon - Chelsea was cheer captain, dating a football player, and going places in life. She was a shoe in for a sorority when she started college in the spring but the world went to hell and all of that went to hell right along with it. She even had her dorm room picked out and was half way through moving out. Too bad the only sororities she has too choose from now are Phi Kappa Alive or Gamma Delta Dead. The fact she has made it this long is, let's be honest, a pretty big miracle but here she is... Still alive and kicking. The dead haven't gotten her yet. Scholarship and civic engagement, both hallmarks of what a sorority looks for, may not have really helped her out much after the shit hit the fan but she has learned. The girl still flinches every time she fires a gun and her heart still races every time she goes near a zombie but alive counts for something.
Brandon Green - Brandon was an ten year old boy into ten year old boy things and the son of Carter. Before the shit hit the fan he was into basketball, comic books, and video games. These days he is just trying to survive this world with his father. His mother didn't make it after things fell apart, neither did his younger brother. Brandon has never quite recovered from the trauma of losing a lot of the people he knew but he makes it as best he can.
Katie Hahn - Katie had just started college when the shit hit the fan, drowning in potential majors. She worked as a camp counselor in the summer, or that one time she did the lifeguard thing. She played a lot of softball in middle and high school. Otherwise she was a rather outdoorsy person. Her family often went on camping trips, hiking adventures, or canoeing excursions. But, her family didn't make it. She was off on a week long camping excursion with friends when the shit really hit the fan. When she got back home her family had already been evacuated. She tried to find them but never had any luck. She can only assume they are dead.
Reggie Thomas - Reggie taught middle school and youth football for a living before things went to shit. In his younger years he was a wide receiver for one professional football team or another. He a wife and son in a car accident in his late 30s and used youth football as a way too cope with it all, leaning into his coaching. When the shit hit the fan he nearly fell apart a second time, nearly died too if not running into a few people early on that helped keep him from drowning.
Anabell Brock - Anabell was an elementary school teacher before the shit hit the fan. She had just graduated college and hired on as a 3nd grade teacher at Oakwood Elementary School. She was dating but had no kids. She barely escaped the shit hitting the fan with her life and has been making it on a measure of dumb luck ever since.
Asif Habib - Asif was a Taxi Driver in a former life before things went south. He was a resourceful guy in his mid thirties who liked playing video games in his spare time and tinkering with electronics, repairing cellphones and other small electronics as a side gig for money. He survived the apocalypse because of that resourcefullness, picking up the skills he needed too survive in this new world one by one and relying on the skills of others in the meantime.
Caleb Vance - Caleb was on his way to a PHD in one social field or another, a sociology major in college. He spent a lot of time downing coffee, reading books, and collecting old records. He had his favorite coffee shop that he visited religiously. He was openly gay and dating before things went south but that relationship ended when the world ended. He didn't really know the first thing about surviving in a world full of zombies but he learned quickly. At first it was luck but that luck was sharpened into skill.
Spencer Reed - Spencer often went by Spence. In a previous life he worked for the editorial board for a local newspaper since graduating college. He met Caleb after the shit hit the fan, he himself also gay. Much like his current boyfriend he learned quickly. It was either that or die and dying never made for a good story.
Otter Rock
Emily Howard - Doctor E.M. Howard, professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics. Formerly employed by NASA, among other agencies that worked closely with NASA. Worked on the SETI project up until her job went away when the zombie apocalypse hit. Shit hit the fan and she fled, trying her best to survive. Emily was a smart woman, always top of her class, graduating with a list of scholarships. She was a space nerd but none of that really mattered now. At least with the lights off you could see the stars a lot more clearly.
Sarah Murphy - Sarah was a Trauma Surgeon before shit hit the fan, working out of one hospital or another in one state or another. Her job afforded her a nice life with nice cars. She came from a working poor lifestyle, achieving success as a doctor after working hard for it. She served in the Army as a Doctor for a short period with a tour overseas before settling down at a hospital. She was used to the work of a field surgeon, the horror and pain of a battlefield. The zombie apocalypse wasn't much different. The same horror, the same pain.
Lorraine Broughton - Lorraine was the unlikely female mayor of a small city somewhere, and we say unlikely because she was the first in the town's history and won by a mere few points. But she took her job seriously and spent her years as a mayor trying to turn the corruption of the previous few mayors around. She divorced right before everything went to shit, the marriage not working out for either of them. The zombie apocalypse hit and she didn't have a city to run anymore. She barely escaped with her life alongside a few of her staff but they didn't make it. Picked off one by one as they tried to find safety and security in a dangerous world.
Abraham Tillman - Abraham was, of all things, a baker and a chef before the shit hit the fan. He owned a restaurant and ran a bakery. He was a really good cook and loved to bake as a hobby. He was married once, working on marriage a second time, but in the chaos of the zombie apocalypse his fiancee and he were separated. She did not make it. The man fled west, finding himself with one small group or another but always found himself alone in the end until Otter Rock.
Pedro De Leon -
Reed Morrison - Reed did a little of everything before the shit hit the fan. He bounced back and forth between odd jobs, working at one fast food restaurant or another, doing handy man work for a while. Anything and everything to make a dollar. He was in and out of trouble a few times and halfway decent with a wrench and an engine. He spent a little time in jail for boosting a car or two in his younger years. He was, in the end, a good guy though. He was one of those people that looked rough around the edges and came off as someone that'd be hard too fully trust but when the shit hit the fan and trusting people really mattered he always came through and never let you down
Josefina - Josefina Torres, or Fina as she was often called, was a single mother before everything went too hell. She held down two jobs working her butt off to afford the middle-class scraping by life she lived. She was a hard worker who, like a lot of those who survived the apocalypse, lost everything after the shit hit the fan. Her child did not make it, dying somewhere during the start of the whole thing in all of the chaos as the government tried to respond to the entire mess. She had two brothers who spent time in and out of gang life with one spending a lot of time in prison after an altercation went really wrong. Her life growing up was hard, in and around gang life and struggling with a single mother and a father who he himself spent his life in prison for something that, sadly, he did do.
Others
Laura - Blonde bombshell. Cheerleader and dunce, preferring pom-poms and cheer chants over schoolwork. She'd just graduated High School when the world fell too shit and her football star boyfriend was killed and eaten by the Zombie Horde.
Coach Ellis Matthews - Coach for one local high school Football Team or another. The first thing one notices about him is his infectious charisma and his uplifting attitude. He is driven by determination, the need for the win, the want for the next play to be successful as it applies to his very survival amongst the Shambling hordes of the Undead.
Thomas Brady - Channel 6, News When It Counts! News Anchor. An aging man in his early forties with dark brown hair just now starting to pepper with grey. He has not taken the Zombie Plague well, a man seemingly on the verge of suicide struggling his way through the Apocalypse. But despite all of this he keeps with him a weathered smile, holding onto a picture of his wife and daughter.
Takahashi Miramoto - He owned his own Japanese sushi bar and restaurant and did well in life up until the shit hit the fan. He lost everything but somehow still managed too survive with his sanity and humor intact despite it all.
Cassidy Thompson - Cassandra, as is her full name, was an up and coming country starlet after appearing on Can You Sing? A talent show seen nation wide by millions. She was set to have her first record deal after doing well on the show and placing first.
Linda Simmons - Conservative. Right wing former low-level politician and book writer. She had a lot of things to say and spent her days rallying against social progress. She was more then ready to vote Trump into office.
Peter Rasmussen - A med-student well on his way to becoming a full fledged doctor if only the Apocalypse hadn't happened. Still, he has enough book smarts and medical school learning to get by with just enough real world application through his residency.
Lisa Durmont.
Matthew Hale.
Paul Harmon - At one point in his life he was a country boy who spent too much time on the receiving end of a bottle of alcohol. Drunk always was and still is his favorite pat time. He didn't handle the apocalypse well.
Slater Darden - A man in his early thirties. He worked a job as a Physicians Assistant before everything went straight to shit.
Samuel Slant - One of the men in charge of Thrioson. He was a very apathetic man with a high self-worth and a greed that stretched for miles. He never really had the good of anyone but himself in question when he made decisions. Lining his pockets and securing his riches.
Jacob Wolf - Head of Thrioson security. One has to wonder why a company needs teams of men dressed in tactical gear for security. But then, one has to wonder a lot of things about a company that seems to have one too many secrets that they'd kill to keep.
Thomas Redding - CEO of Panacea Pharmaceuticals. One of several but often considered to be the man in charge, running the show. Some might even say in some way he is responsible for all of this. He was the big decision maker in the company and all of the important decisions that made or lost millions went through him for approval. He has the facade of a nice man but in reality he is just a sociopath that looks out for number one, himself. The good of humanity as a whole was never part of his agenda. The only thing that drove him was a quest for more money. He was the Martin Shkreli of his company. A middle aged playboy that would rather think about his next golf swing then trying to find the cure for cancer.
